The Happiest Dogs Spend their Days at Wags!

The play yards at Wags are very different from many other doggy daycares. You won't find super hectic, high-energy groups at Wags. You will find safe, fun, positive, and enriching play with no squirt bottles, no air horns, or shock collars. Groups are formed to match dogs' energy levels and your pup will spend as much time as they can in the play yards. Kennels and crates are only utilized for breaks when your pup needs them.

A helpful way to think about our doggy daycare program is to compare it to childcare. Wags is like a Montessori preschool vs. drop-in babysitting. We focus on blended activities targeted at a dog's temperament, social abilities, and confidence. We encourage longer stays (half or full days) so that we can engage playgroups in social play to burn off energy, enrichment to challenge their minds and rest time to keep everyone balanced.

All of our play yards have multiple areas where we can engage dogs in various activities. Our staff structures the time based on what the dogs need that day - a mix of social play (balls, bubbles, kiddie pools, etc.), solo enrichment activities (treat puzzles, chew toys, etc.), and rest time (we dim the lights and put on music and bring the energy level down to give everyone a break). This approach produces happier dogs who go home less stressed, tired, and confident.
